For our client on Bonaire we are immediately looking for a line cook employee.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Is friendly, courteous, attentive, and helpful to all members, guests, and fellow employees;
Prepares salads, sandwiches, fruit juices, or other cold foods;
Seasons and cooks soups, meats, vegetables and other food items as ordered;
Ensures that food is tasty and well presented;
Ensures that food arrives at the required service point on time and hot;
Stores foods individually to avoid contamination;
Maintains work surfaces in a clean and sanitary condition;
Ensures that general work area is in a clean and sanitary condition;
Strives to attain the highest standard of cuisine at all times;
Is aware of stock and equipment on hand and reports any loss;
Maintains a high level of personal hygiene at all times;
Performs other duties as assigned.
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook;
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures;
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks;
Familiar with industry’s best practices;
Culinary school diploma.
