Kome Restaurant is looking for bright and passionate individuals to work in a fast paced, vibrant and dynamic environment. We are currently seeking an experienced and charismatic person to join our Front of House Service Team here in Curacao.
Kome is set in the buzzing Pietermaai District, Curacao’s newest zone for nightlife and entertainment. Kome offers a welcoming place to meet, hang out, eat and drink. Our menu is a combination of Caribbean and other worldly cuisines using ingredients of the highest quality.
Kome Servers are the representatives of the restaurant to guests. Kome serves unique and well thought hand-crafted cocktails and food. Servers are responsible for selling our products while providing our guests with a memorable experience. Kome servers are expected to give service that is knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful while upholding company standards and values in a busy, fast paced environment.
Oversee and guide guest’s complete dining experience.
Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service at all times.
Have full knowledge of food and beverage menu items including the major components of a dish/drink; this may include ingredients and their source, simple descriptions of unfamiliar ingredients, preparation, and/or execution of correct food and beverage service.
Adhere to all company service standards and protocols.
Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages.
Support service team with all aspects of daily operations.
Confident and correct use of POS system for order entry and payment processing.
Ensure food and beverage arrive to guests quickly and correctly; and confirming guest satisfaction.
Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant and service areas.
Ensure guests are charged correctly and receive proof of payment in a timely manner.
Communicate respectfully with coworkers.
Engage management for any guest issue or complaint.
Stocking and preparing the restaurant for business.
Adhere to grooming and dress code standards and make sure the team does as well.
Skills & Requirements
Minimum 2 years of service experience in a high volume environment
Strong beverage knowledge and a passion for the service industry
Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback
Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must possess exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude
